QUBEE Joins Hands with One Billion Rising to Stand Against Violence towards Women
Dhaka, Bangladesh – QUBEE, the high-speed wireless internet service provider has partnered with One Billion Rising (OBR) to raise awareness regarding violence against women in Bangladesh. QUBEE is sponsoring an event, on the occasion of International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, which will allow you to rise and March for the women in your life, or simply for a just cause you believe in.
Men and women from different spheres of life will gather and walk from Gulshan 1 to Gulshan 2, all in high heels. It is inspired by the global campaign Walk a Mile in Her Shoes and seeks to draw attention to a topic that is often ignored. OBR is a global campaign aiming to create awareness about the issue of violence against women, and this event is an endeavour to inspire society to stand up to stop violence against women.
QUBEE’s sponsorship of the march is accompanied by the launch of a new limited edition connectivity device in OBR colours, titled aptly as QUBEE Curve. Purchasers of a QUBEE solution with this device will be contributing directly to OBR’s cause toward ending violence against women.
